Oh Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving, such a great day to reflect on the things which we are Thankful for, this shuold be like a monthly holiday and not just an annual one, I feel like we could use a lot more Giving of Thanks. Sometimes in this crazy world its easy to get swept away and caught up in the drama which is lifet. But really, we should take more time to be appreciative for what we do have and not worrying about the negative.
Top of my list is absolutely Family, I owe everything to them, love you guys. Someday I'll get you the Thanksgiving Card that I have with me, and I should get that in the mail probably. :)
Now I'd like to take a minute to thank some of the positive friend/influences I've had in my life. I sat down and was thinking about who honestly I would make my Best Man in my wedding.
It was really a daunting thought, I could easily come up with a dozen at any given time. The more I am traveling now, the more I really am thankful for the situations I've been given. The mere fact that the people I've met, the people I've become affiliated with and become friends with I have truly been blessed to be around some of the best people in the world.
I'll leave this post at that, the mere fact that I'm so thankful for the people in my life, I'm a social person at the core and I absolutely am so thankful for every one I have come across. I will follow up with a few more thoughts on friends.

Cheering on my Utes from across the Country

Ok I have to confess, I didn't actually get to see a single down of the famed Holy War this year, but thanks to some great friends I didn't miss a single score, via text message or phone call I was updated the whole game as to what was going on. Thanks Riles and Nick.

Quick update from Rivals.com Which says: "Utah takes place as preemenent non-BCS program.

A great article saying how the Utes could even possibly end up in the National Championship game given the perfect circumstances! How crazy...

Anyhow, Day 2 in Boston was crazy, it was Jen's friend Caitlin's birthday party so we went to the Sam Adams Brewery during the day, and toured some of Boston. Then we went out for some fancy Italian dinner, and down to a place called Paddy O's some Irish pub which was really great. We had a VIP section blocked off and some great company so it was really a fun night! Will have follow up pictures shortly.

TurkeyDay Vacation Day 1

Ok, so on vacation finally, taking 11 days off, and visiting the East Coast and Jen, Dave and Chris!

So day one has been a pretty uneventul day really, just traveling most the day.

Got dropped off at the airport by my good friend Mark this morning and hopped my flight to Vegas. Anyone that claims we are in depression is lying, because there were mobs of people at the airport. Oh, and US Airways, I hate you, $15 for one checked bag, that's super lame.

SO hop the plane fly to Vegas, for my 3 hour layover. Have a Burger King "Value" meal, which is really not much value at the airports, considering it was like $12 bucks! Ridiculous. So after changing to like 4 different gates, finally find out my flight to Boston is going to be late by an hour, which sucks, because I was already going to arrive at 12:10 in the morning so now this pushes the arrival to 1:10. So in boarding I notice this guy that a couple people are looking at, and sure enough it was Carlton Banks himself, brother to the Fresh Prince of Bel Air. So we're boarding, and he ends up sitting right in front of me. Kept wanting to say something, but I didn't know his real life name and I thought I heard rumors he's like bitter about being Carlton because now he can't get a real acting job cuz all anyone knows of him is Carlton. Anyhow, we get in the plane, I of course sleep the whole way, which is awesome. Land, get picked up by Dave, Jen and Caitlyn and here I am in Caitlyns house at about 3:34 am here, only midnightish my time though and we're getting ready for bed.

Sounds like parties tomorrow, will keep you updated!

Interesting Facts about Carlton Banks real life name "Alfonso Ribeiro".

There was a rumor that he died in the 80s while doing a head spin, but he was confused with a breakdancing boy in a Pepsi commercial who did die.

Amusing

Ok so I've seen this circulated around a few times, but I always find it amusing and pretty true! :)

We always hear 'the rules' From the female side...
Now here are the rules from the male side.
These are our rules! Please note – these are all numbered '1' ON PURPOSE!
1. Men are NOT mind readers.
1. Learn to work the toilet seat. You're a big girl. If it's up, put it down. We need it up, you need it down. You don't hear us complaining about you leaving it down.
1. Sunday sports. It's like the full moon or the changing of the tides. Let it be.
1. Crying is blackmail.
1. Ask for what you want. Let us be clear on this one: Subtle hints do not work! Strong hints do not work! Obvious hints do not work! Just say it!
1. Yes and No are perfectly acceptable answers to almost every question.
1. Come to us with a problem only if you want help solving it. That's what we do. Sympathy is what your girlfriends are for.
1. Anything we said 6 months ago is inadmissible in an argument. In fact, all comments become Null and void after 7 Days.
1. If you think you're fat, you probably are. Don't ask us.
1. If something we said can be interpreted two ways and one of the ways makes you sad or angry, we meant the other one
1. You can either ask us to do something or tell us how you want it done. Not both. If you already know best how to do it, just do it yourself.
1. Whenever possible, Please say whatever you have to say during commercials...
1. Christopher Columbus did NOT need directions and neither do we.
1. ALL men see in only 16 colors, like Windows default settings. Peach, for example, is a fruit, not a color. Pumpkin is also a fruit. We have no idea what mauve is.
1. If it itches, it will be scratched... We do that.
1. If we ask what is wrong and you say 'nothing,' we will act like nothing's wrong. We know you are lying, but it is just not worth the hassle.
1. If you ask a question you don't want an answer to, expect an answer you don't want to hear. 1. When we have to go somewhere, absolutely anything you wear is fine... Really.
1. Don't ask us what we're thinking about unless you are prepared to discuss such topics as baseball or motor sports.
1. You have enough clothes.
1. You have too many shoes.
1. Thank you for reading this.
Yes, I know, I have to sleep on the couch tonight; but did you know men really don't mind that? It's like camping.

Funniest Thing Ever

Ok so at the Mason Jennings concert on Saturday, funniest thing ever.
I go in to use the bathroom and there is a set up similar to the picture I have included, but imagine there is only the one taller urinal. So there's only 2 in there. I come walking in and there is a midget, using the tall one! He's kinda arching it up and in there, and I'm a taller guy so I usually avoid the small urinals, but I had no options! So there's me aiming down at this small urinal and the midget next to me... Anyhow, it was all I could do to stop from laughing! Sorry to any of those offended, but was just something funny from this weekend. :)

**On a side note, the Mason Jennings concert was amazing and I highly recommend him to anyone!

Posts from the Past

So finally just got some pictures back from me and Ashley's trip to Utah for Drew's wedding. Was a really good time, here are just some of the memories we had from hanging out with Ty and Britters. We also went on a drive up Alpine loop and had some lunch at Sundance it was a great time.

A glamour shot of Clint.

Ryan at his finest.

On the blue tooth, communicating to King teammates.

Brit and Ash as twinners, with Ty taking a nap.
