Another week in paradise

Actually, it was just beautiful this past week, but nothing really too exciting.
Just getting ready to head to Indiana and Raleigh for the week. Going to Indiana to see my baby sister's Graduation! I'm so proud of her it's awesome and she will be heading to Penn State next Fall! Out there with Pitino and she'll be a proud Nitny Lion.
Then heading to Raleigh N.C. to visit Riley up at his school in Henderson to watch him teach one of his last classes. Riley does this program called "Teach for America" and it is seriously one of the best concepts ever, I really love it, and I honestly tell anyone I can about what Riley does, it's truly comendable and he is the man for sure. On Friday night the 9th in Raleigh we will be heading to see Kanye West which should be an awesome time. So really looking forward to this upcoming week! I will have pictures to follow, sorry I don't have more, busy week trying to prepare to head out!

Miracle League

So here are a bunch of pictures from this league I have been volunteering for, it seriously is one of the best things I have ever done, I really love it.
This is me with Brennan and his 'Buddy' Zack. Every player has a buddy who is with them to support them, and me Ted and Kristina are coaches who basically sub in as necessary and help get the batting lineups and help wherever we are missing 'buddies' but you'll also notice that some of the buddies are young kids to, so the kids need a lot of support.

You can just see how much fun they all have out there, and it is seriously the best to help them out and give them all the opportunity to play baseball it's amazing.

Life in my Cube

This hilarious You Tube spoof pretty much personifies my daily life.
My Cubicle
So we've had a pretty busy week trying to get ready for the Board Reviews at the offices. Happy to say our big boss came in and said all of our reports went over very well and they were very pleased with the progress of the new web page we are developing. Note, I thought that creating a web page wasn't that big of a deal before...Developing new pages for 16 new hotels plus corporate sites, and getting SEO (Search engine optimization) into all of the pages and copy for every different site within there, like Meetings, Best Rate Guarantee, Local Guides, etc. etc. turns out to be quite a project really. But apparently it went over well, so we're pretty happy today.
Thursday night had a basketball game back in my Co-Ed league in balboa park, It went really well, I think I only made a layup or two, but dished out the rock some and beat the team by 10 or so and held a 20 point lead most of the game. The other team was actually playing 3 girls and 2 guys most of the game too, their girls were far superior to their guy talent on their team. So that was a good time, followed that up by heading to a party with some friends from the hotel. It was pretty retro really, reminded me of the college days. Watched all 22 innings of the Padres Rockies game which dragged out to a 3-2 loss for the Pads fun game to watch though, great pitching battles.
Not too much else the rest of the week happened, Jen came home, filed my taxes, cleaned the house the luxuries in life really. We do have a new The Office on the Tivo to watch so I will be looking forward to that! Talked to sister a couple times this week was really good to hear from her! So proud of her graduating and getting honors and recognized for really how great she is! I'm so excited to get out to Indiana and visit her in a couple weeks!

Events since Vegas!

Ahh where to even start, been keeping busy and having a lot of fun lately!
Soo, have a good friend coming to hang out this weekend, which should be really fun. Will probably go to Torrey Pines and Coronado Island, neither of which I have been to yet really so it will be fun to see and explore.

Since I've last updated, Lets see what I've done.
Saturday's I've been coaching my little Miracle League baseball kids, it is seriously the best experience ever. The parents the kids, all the volunteers it is soo fun. And it was cooking out there last week about 85 degrees probably. Also have been playing a lot of Softball, I'm in a league which is really fun and after last week I got recruited by 3 teams so I've been getting quite a bit of ball in, it's so nice. Jen went to visit Dave last weekend so had the house to myself, didn't really do too much, hung out with Paul on Friday night and on Saturday we went to Lori's housewarming party which was a fun night too. I will post some pictures of my kids from the team, and just finally got new batteries for the camera so will get some more photos up!

Vegas Survived!

Head down to Cypress to see Gary and Drew for the night, good times, the Tri-Fector reunited if even so briefly, but seemed just like the old days. It's amazing how with old friends even ones you haven't seen in the longest times that you can all just sit down start chatting joking around and it's like you never missed a beat. So that was good times, stayed at the hotel in Cypress, their renovations are coming aroudn nicely that will be a good hotel in no time, Gary will be raking in the big dollars.

Get ready to head out Friday afternoon, and hit snag #1 received a phone call from our hookup minutes before we left the hotel, that the Wynn was sold out for the weekend so they walked us to the MGM Grand. Which was still a good time, and it probably suited our style a little better than the $500 minimum tables at the Wynn, but was nonetheless a little disappointing.

Then me and Gary don't even get out of Cypress till abuot 2, when we were attempting to leave at 12:15, so that hurt us also. Compounded by Gary getting on the wrong freeway and us getting stuck in traffic going the wrong direction. Thhheennnn, believe it or not, we were not the only two people from California who decided to head to Vegas for the weekend so we hit some major traffic, driving through LA es no bueno. Needless to say, our 4 our drive took us about twice that to get there. Roll in and the boys are there waiting for us in the lobby of our new hotel.

Then a bunch of Vegas happens... Then we head home!

Just playin, start off that evening treat ourselves all to a nice buffet and some beverages, threw some money in exchange for little drinks and random games of chance not in our favor. Go to get into a club, Fake id from Mr. Malek is not accepted, leave, go gamble some more walk the strip a while, head to bed in the early morning hours. Next day we wake up and hit the pool for a while, good times, cruised around the lazy river for a while. Realize that its Spring Break which at first seems like a good thing, but then quickly we realize we are clearly officially at Bro Fest '08. So that's not as cool, so caught some rays enjoyed what scenery was there then headed up to the room. Hit the outlet malls for a couple hours then did dinner at Fiamma Trattoria which was a fantastic Italian restaurant, kinda pricy but delicious and totally worth it.

Head out that evening to the Luxor to meet up with Niemann and a classy lady friend of his. To no surprise Niemann is super late, we entertain ourselves by playing some ridiculous $25 hands of blackjack right outside one of the clubs there which had the most beautiful classy ladies it helped pass the time. Apparently in the midst of this gambling session at rates I should have been no where near, I am handing Gary some winnings and telling him not to remind me that he has them. This turned out later to be a key move in Will's defeating Vegas.

We head over to the club LAX with Niemann, lady friend, Zach and Rue as Tov got shut down for shoes. Dance around, see Criss Angel, stand in the masses had a good time though.

To summarize Will +$250 leaving Vegas = a great weekend
