Thanks homes, stupid phone fell out of my pocket at Lagoon on Friday. I was screaming like an idiot at pedestrians while riding the white rollercoaster and that apparently was enough to set it free. Now I have h's old phone.

Moving!

So shortly I will be moving from good old Pacific Beach up to Cardiff, which is just a little north of Del Mar and will put me much closer to work. Moving date looks like July 5th which hopefulyl I will then have the family out visiting and they could help too which would be great! The new place is going to save a ton of gas! And my new roomie Sandy is great and we'll have a lot of fun! From the new place I'm seriously considering riding my bike to work at least once a week potentially more. Going to inherit a bike from my friend Lori, I haven't even biked in probably a good 10+ years so it will be an adventure to start for sure! But it should be fun.
This week has been a really fun one. Tuesday, had intentions of a bon-fire and Jen farewell and a bunch of people came over, we all just ended up hanging out though and it was a great time. At least I know I had a great time! :) Wednesday got out on the dance floor at In Cahoots and did a little Boot-Skootin and dancing it was also a great time. Finally got some good rest on Thursday night, now I'm stalling at work and getting ready for Lori's B-Day party tonight and then Jen's wedding tomorrow!

Just stumbled across this site, haven't actually tried it yet, but I know some of my Eco-Friendly friends would really love this. Particularly you Jen, I know how that junk mail bothers you! :)
But anyhow it looks like just a thing which you can sign up for and then you can remove yourself from like Credit Card mailer lists etc.
In fact for the basic plan it looks like they will pay you a dollar to sign up.

Then if you want you can get like a premium package and other things which include like:

  • Automatic removal from more than two dozen junk mail lists in our database
  • Junk mail protection for unlimited names per household

Tiffany Visit

So my friend Tiffany from back in the old Chase Suite days came to visit this past weekend and we had a great time. Wednesday night when she flew in I picked her up and headed straight to the Cubs game. (21st row, thanks Sam!) Seats were amazing and gotta love watching the Cubbies! Unfortunately Padres got them this night and Hoffman even came in to close and held the lead for once! Thursday just went to La Jolla, had some good little Mexican food. Friday we met a bunch of my softball and new San Deeego friends down at PB Ale House and then proceeded to Thrusters and just danced the night away some, was a good time all in all. Saturday woke up and helped Linsey and Thomas pack up and get ready to move. Then went to the Zoo good times, will update with some pictures from there later. Came home Saturday night and played some rousing sessions of RockBand, I think Tiff got hooked for sure. Sunday, had 2 softball games. I don't know if I've ever mentioned this, but I loooove softball. A division game with Roshambo we won 21-11 or so, and B divison game at 3 we won 19-11 so overall we had a good time. So as to make it indirect arrogance, I'll just quote a clip from Division B captain weeks recap. "In any case, we pretty well dominated, giving up 6 of the 9 runs in one inning with a couple of errors. I think we had 3 innings on defense where we put them down 1-2-3 and we batted around in each of the first two innings, scoring 5 runs in each inning. Zac, Will & Eric each had 1 legit home run (I think mine was legit and not an error - I was a little busy running the bases) and Will had the 4 base error home run. Congrats & thanks to everyone for a great game." Then we had some lunch at the bay, headed out to Coronodo to see the Hotel Del and came back went to a movie then had dinner in Old Town. Really jammed as much as possible into a few days!

Me playing with a Monkey at the Zoo, he grabbed my hand it was the coolest thing! He had the smallest little hands! Then he about bit me, and I realized hmm this probably isn't the best idea as I pulled my hand back and realized no more than 2 feet away was the this animal bites please watch fingers sign.

This one's for you mom! :) Even the big goofy smile!
Our seats at the Cubbies and Padres game! 21st row gotta love them Cubbies! I swear there was about just as many Cubs fans as there was Padres fans at the game. Even during the 7th Inning Stretch. "Root root for the Cubbbies!" it was awesome.
Me and a giant bear. Just reminded me of Anchorman.
Me feeding a small goat in the children's petting zoo. I seriously cannot believe the patience these little guys must have! Poor little animals you've got kids screaming yelling pulling their hair etc. etc. I just feel bad for them!

Fun times in San Diego for the weekend, I'm exhausted going into another work week! Gotta love it!

Torrey Pines Hike

Went hiking up at Torrey Pines with some good friends Mark (The Chaplain) and Matt (The Keeper) and new friend Melody. Just a beautiful place in the world really, it was my first time hiking up there and really can't believe I haven't made the time to get there it was just gorgeous and a really fun time.

Mark, Me, Melody and Matt. Just at a lookout point along one of the many trails there.

I believe this was up at the Torrey Pines Lodge, a really good timer picture done here.

The "act like you don't know your picture's being taken" pose, I feel like we got a little too into it. But it looks like we're having a good time!

Typical, I close my eyes in a picture, pretty proud of myself again, still a great view. Melody must have been telling me something really funny because usually I'm so photogenic! And by photogenic I have perhaps the worst percentage of closing my eyes in photo's of anyone I know...

The end of the hike lets out at the beach and we just walk back to the car from there. Such a beautiful place in the world. I do recall me and Matt throwing some rocks and of course my first throw was "Hey look lets aim at something ridiculously too far away" throw shoulder out, it's hard being this awesome sometimes.

Anyhow it was a nice little hike with some great company and good times!
