Victorious Day of Sports

Ok so after a hellacious day at work. Seriously, Hotel business in a recession is no bueno.
Had Softball in Poway at 7:00 which basically means leave straight from work. (Yay for 8-6 work days) and head straight to the field. Roll into the field around 5:50 just in time for the game, watching the other team warm up, they look pretty serious, most of the guys are in baseball pants and are some pretty big guys.
Warning, if you don't want to hear me toot my own horn, discontinue here.
But anyhow, our first three all lead off with singles, and i come up 4th. Poke a nice shot over the right fielders head, score all 3 runners and score myself when the shortstop on their team throws the ball over the backstop. So we get off to a nice start, I end up going 2-4 from the plate, and we kill them 16-7 or something of that nature, also made a nice diving play at Short only to try and ge tthe runner at second base, but airmail Ashley at second seriously over her head by like 10 feet, and throw it into right field, so close to a web gem. Head straight from softball game to Basketball game starting at 8:45 get to the gym around 8:40 games are of course behind so I'm still a little early. Nothing to spectacular in the game, despite me going an awesome 4-11 from the free throw line. Seriously, bring it on Shaq I'm ready for ya. So that was horrendous, but we pull out that victory by around 10 also so good times. Good day overall :)

These pictures are a bit delayed, but nonetheless here they are.
So here we are, team Blue Balls celebrating our Championship.

Me and Ash at Guava Beach celebrating our win with our sponsors.

Me and Ash holding our trophy from our Charity one pitch league which we ended up getting ourselves a nice little championship trophy from too! :)

Lake Havasu!

Ok sorry this is going to be quick, but just qanted to get these up from the past weekend. It was such a blast me Ashley, her aunt and Uncle spent MLK weekend at Lake Havasu at their Lake House. (For more pictures please click on 'Pictures' up top)

This is Ashley's Grandma's Lake house out at Lake Havasu. Such an amazing place in the world, we rolled in around 1 in the morning or so, would have been earlier if I hadn't gotten pulled over going 80 on an entirely deserted desert road (deserted desert road yep I said it.) So that will cost a nice penny. From where I am taking the picture, the lake is right behind me.

Me and Ashley hanging out on the front deck. I believe this was in the middle of her beating me 7 times in a row in Cribbage. It was un real. I did go on to bring the series a little closer ending the weekend at 8-3 but she was killing it in cards for sure.

Me and Ashley sitting on the boat out in front of the London Bridge. News to me that this is actually the famous London Bridge, it apparently is no longer falling down in Lake Havasu. They brought it all they way from London and set it up here.

Me and Ashley on the boat just cruising around the lake in 75 degree weather in the middle of January, not another boat on the lake, it was gorgeous.

I was lucky enough to take the 4 wheeler out with Uncle John. Took me a minute to get the hang of it, but once I figured out the shifting, it was awesome. I really need to get myself a 4 wheeler for sure, those thinigs are amazingly fun. I was nothing to compare with John on his Dirt Bike though, maybe someday I'll give one of those a shot.

New Orleans with the Entourage

Went on another trip with the Entourage(Jeremy, Nick and Riley), to great success, and a great time.
I don't even know where to start on this one. Quick summary.
Headed to Las Vegas on the 20th of December, hit up the casino and partied until the wee hours of the morning then headed to the airport and flew to Gulfport Mississippi, where we picked up our rental car and drove to our hotel near New Orleans. A big thanks to Nick and La Quinta for the hook up on the room because nothing was any where near reasonable costs for New orleans during New Years and Sugar Bowl time.

The boys hanging out on Bourbon St. on New Years

A castle in the middle of Jackson Square.

More Bourbon St. insanity for New Years

Me and Riles prepped out and decked to the 9 ready with beads to ring in the New Year!

Found ourselves a Ute fan in the middle of the craziness.

Work Life

Trying to prepare true budgets for 2009.
Yes I know it's already mid-way through January, but we were already 10% back on our initial budgets, so we had to re-do them. We are presenting another new set of budgets to the bank today, so hopefully it will work out.
Really, how are we supposed to forecast whats going to happen through the end of this year? It changes on a daily basis depending on the economy.

Christmas in Utah

So after a week of hijinks with Riley visiting for a week. We headed home back to Utah on the 19th of December, to be shortly followed up by our Entourage trip to New Orleans leaving on December 30th. For the record, me and Riley both drove from San Diego to Las Vegas, I parked my car at the Bearces house. (Thanks Bearces) and then when we returned back to Vegas me and Riley headed different directions.

Some quick highlights from Christmas in Utah.

Finally got to see my sister who I haven't seen since her graduation at Indiana forever ago. Also got to see my cousin Jen and Uncle Pat and Aunt Deb and of course Mom and Dad.

The day after Christmas we headed up to Salt Lake to see the Body Works Exhibit. Technically Body Worlds 3, which was really focused on the heart and arteries. A really good experience. We were heading to the Jazz game right afterward, so we parked the cars down by the basketball stadium and walked up to the library for the Exhibit. Here is the fam on the way up to the library outside of the County building.

Me and Jen downtown after the Jazz game. Waiting by the car, after a failed attempt to splash water onto the windshield to clean it off as it froze immediately upon contact with the windshield and just made more of a mess. Jazz game was a great success as the Jazz took it to the Mavericks and Dirty Dirk got kicked out of the game which is always fun to watch.

Then the massive snows came, this is a shot early one night and this is a foot ruler almost completely buried on our back deck.
